Any violation of the rules established by two people in a relationship is considered infidelity. This violation can be emotional or in any other way. This betrayal of trust has become one of the leading causes of divorces in the country. Some may argue that guys are prone to cheating and that sometimes it’s better to accept cheating, especially if it’s not that serious. But is that really the case?

In order for you to decide, you must understand the different types of infidelity and determine what type of infidelity you experienced. From there, you can draw your own conclusion about whether or not to give your marriage a chance.

The first type is called opportunistic infidelity, which occurs when a couple falls in love and is attached to one spouse, but then gives in to or expresses their sexual desire for another. The risk of this happening increases as one party becomes addicted to risky behaviors.

The second is compulsive infidelity that occurs when a partner often avoids the partner’s sexual advances. This could lead to feelings that could lead the other party to seek approval and acceptance from other people, even if they are still very much in love with their spouse.

The third is romantic infidelity, which occurs when the cheating partner has fallen out of love with their spouse or partner. This is probably one of the most devastating forms of infidelity for the aggrieved party.

The fourth is conflictual romantic infidelity that occurs when a person has fallen in love with another partner or partners but is still in love with their spouse.

The fifth is memorial infidelity which occurs when the person has completely fallen out of love with their spouse but still remains in the relationship due to perceived responsibility.

Knowing these things would make it easier for you to decide what to do to survive infidelity.
