Exercise is vital to losing excess weight and keeping it off. The body was meant to be active, and that’s often a challenge in today’s often sedentary lifestyles. Clerical workers, security workers and drivers make up a large part of the workforce and many get very little daily exercise.

1- Exercising before eating only makes you hungrier. Exercise after eating when your body has to work harder to digest food.

2- Take the stairs instead of the elevator whenever you can. The elevators are a great convenience, especially if you have to go up or down about twenty floors. But the elevators also make us very lazy.

3- Don’t slouch in your chair, but try to maintain an upright posture with your tummy tucked in. Slouching is a very bad habit. Not only is it bad for your back, but it also gives you a very saggy figure.

4- Do not carry your mobile phone with you, leave it in a place where you can hear it ring. This way you make sure that you at least get up and walk towards him.

5- If you work sitting down, get up and stretch every half hour. Most jobs today are sitting jobs that are, in a word, sedentary. This is especially true for those who sit and bang on the keyboard or play with the mouse all day.’

6- You can walk any distance if you have time, consider walking to places you would normally drive (like work or the market if they are not too far away).

It may take longer, but the health benefits will last a lifetime.

7- Try yoga. Yoga is one of the best ways to lose weight. Of course I can’t go into a full lecture on yoga, but I can tell you that I have never seen people with better toned bodies than those who practice yoga. One of the benefits of yoga is that you learn to control practically all the muscles and joints in your body so that the problem of weight gain ceases to exist.

8- If you have a dog, take it for a run and let yourself be carried away by it. You will be surprised how much exercise a dog can give you.

9- While making phone calls try walking up and down.

10- Exercise outdoors as much as possible. There are two advantages to doing whatever you’re doing outside.

One advantage is that it gives your body a chance to get much needed fresh air and sunlight. The second advantage is that the environment keeps you upbeat and is a welcome break from being cooped up all day.

11- Stop when your body has had enough. There’s no point in pressuring him. When you have worked for a considerable time, your body will begin to give you signals. Pay attention to those signs. This is particularly true in the initial stages. Take one step at a time. Stop when you run out of breath or when a certain part of your body tells you that it has had enough.

This is the last tip, try to collect information about the exercise. There are many things you can do at home. Extensive research has been done on exercise and much of this information is readily available. You can try surfing the net or get a book or two on how to exercise at home. This information will help you know how hard you need to work on each specific exercise to burn the desired amount of calories.
