The path of the rake

Many years ago, in the southern regions of a distant land lived a man named Hewko. A poor man by providential status but rich in Mind, Body and Spirit.

“Relationships”, he said, “are the true paths to the wealth of the soul, the peace of mind and the health of the body.”

Y,

“Relaxation is not for pillows like pillows are not for the relaxed.”

He said many seemingly wise but puzzling things. . . leaving the disciples seeking him no later in wisdom than before. There is no more tranquility than a rabbit in the wild afraid to come out of its burrow for fear of being eaten. No less confused and no more focused on their self-imposed task because they didn’t act.

But they looked for it anyway, as all seekers must look for someone other than themselves to “show” them the “way”!

The path of ‘The Rake’ clears all the paths that are not clear due to the fallen leaves of time.

And what about you, dear reader? . . Are you also looking for the spiritual healing that comes with the words of the Great Sage Hewko? Be of good cheer – the secret is at the core of The Rake! “The Way of the Rake”, as Hewko would say, “clears all the roads that are not clear due to the fallen leaves of time”; and I will share with you in a very few words the philosophy of The Rake and how you can apply it today without further delay of peace of mind, depth in soul and life in body.

“Just as the path of the forest is obscured by the leaves that fall there … So also our minds are not clear from the task that falls on our minds.” Too much technology, too many business opportunities, too many bills to pay, and too many places to be and things to do. We are overwhelmed, our minds are cluttered, we do not exercise, we do not sleep. . . We know what to do but we don’t know!

Meditation is a straw that eludes your grasp; yoga is an exercise for the mind and body that is not always satisfying; the crystals are debated, put on the shelves and forgotten; And when we feel inactive, conventional medicine offers no cure, we look for “holistic” and / or “alternative medicines only to find more” alternatives “to” alternatives. “Hewko would not deny all of the above as possible sources of mind healing, body and spirit … but you have to First Develop the discipline of The Rake!

The Mind Body Spirit connection is connected to Earth. . .

All religions teach the importance of the connection between Spirit and Earth. The Bible says in the Genesis creation story, “with work and fatigue you will eat of it all the days of your life.” Man continually shuns his duty as the earth’s “husband” and wonders why he feels so lethargic. The sowing and harvesting of years gone by is becoming more and more distant from the life of modern man. Hewko says: “Search the soil in your own garden and grow something”!

The Way of the Rake is nothing more than the rake you can buy at your local hardware store. . . Take the rake in hand and touch the Earth! Mind, body and spirit come together in one simple action and you are centered, balanced and whole. The rake is literal but only part of it. Cultivate the soil, plant the seed and help it grow! The law of sowing and reaping has always been taught since the beginning of time by sowing seeds and is the foundation of all business and romance.

If you can’t find your way through religion. . . rake! If you can’t calm the mind. . . rake! If you are overwhelmed by the bills, business, and worries of this world. . . rake!

Disconnect from the television and computer, get out and touch the Earth. Modern man today assigns these basic energies of giving life to other men who regard these God-given privileges as nothing more than a 9 to 5 JOB How can we be sure that our sufferings of mind, body and spiritual are no more? What self-imposed when we spend months? and, for some, years without rolling in the hay?

The man of religious convictions who studies the Bible and yet avoids its “curse” cannot expect God to answer his prayers any more than he can expect tomatoes to grow where the earth has not prepared. Going back to earth should be our motto. Home grown should be the description given to the vegetables on our table. And the law of sowing and reaping must be the first law written in our hearts. . . Mind, body and spirit begins where the salad grows.

Hewko’s final words

“Clear the leaves from the path of your mind with The Rake! Touch the Earth and the Earth will touch you. When we Rake we use the Mind, we use the Body and we find our whole Spirit”.
