Today I am going to talk about making homemade tea. We will discuss how to do it with loose leaf tea and infusion balls. We will discuss the benefit of making homemade tea versus buying it from tea/coffee restaurants like Starbucks or Coffee bean. We will talk about what you need to buy to make homemade tea and the process to make it. Let us begin.

Why do it at home? First of all, going to Starbucks and buying an organic black tea every morning is a $3 a day, $18 a week, $936 a year habit. That’s a ridiculous amount of money, even if you’re only drinking half that amount, it’s still ridiculous! Doing it at home is much more financially efficient. You also need to be aware of the social/cool aspect of Starbucks. There’s some validation you might get from going there and buying a drink, like it feels good to you. Let go of that and open your mind to other possibilities.

Another reason why making homemade tea is amazing is that you can put whatever you want in it! Make your own concoction. I like the menthol crystals the most. It’s what makes bubblegum taste so good, the fresh, airy taste of the mint-based stuff. It is soothing for the throat and lungs. You can buy menthol crystals in bulk, along with loose leaf selections like organic black tea or Irish breakfast tea, and put them together in an infusion ball. Let them steep for 1-2 minutes while you organize your kitchen or something before work, and you have a high quality tea for dirt cheap.

Some things you will need to buy are loose leaf teas like Irish breakfast tea or organic black tea. These have a decent amount of caffeine (around 30mg each). Remember, they are dark teas, so they are essentially alternatives to coffee.

Some special ways to enhance tea are to include non-tea ingredients in your ‘brew’, for example menthol crystals, chamomile flowers, spearmint or peppermint. It makes green tea taste great, esp.

In conclusion, making tea at home is much more financially efficient and it is also a lot of fun, but most importantly it is dynamic because you can make your own blends of teas and try new things. It is very easy to start, to be afraid to try something new. Get some menthol crystals and some organic loose leaf black tea and go for it.
