Most people still believe that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will never surpass human creativity, but those views are pretty species-centric and full of poor ideas. Sorry to offend you, but today we already have AI that can do original painting, music, and we are about to come up with completely new concepts, using the same technique as humans, borrowing a little from many categories and synthesizing that information. to arrive at a single vision. Let’s talk, I’d like to take this conversation to the next level if you allow me, if not click and read about some celebrity’s Tweet of the day.

Okay, we all know that when we come up with new ideas, it’s usually because we brought something from one domain or industry and applied it somewhere else, presenting a “new way” to solve a problem. Through trial and error, we get better at this, until we finally realize that we can improve almost any system or way of doing things and make our efforts more efficient. Those who fail too much at this tend to go back and do everything the ‘approved way’ until eventually entrenched authority imprisons us to the point where we stop asking questions or challenging the experts. Perhaps this is why young people, especially children, are more creative than older humans.

This process of carrying information, methods, and/or observations from one effort to the next is not a difficult idea to grasp and, in fact, is a method in itself. Therefore it is teachable, or should I say ‘programmable’ in software using rules:

(1) Scanning all the information combines solutions from any or all categories, industries, sciences and propose possible alternative solutions.
(2) Evaluate all possible options or alternative solutions.
(3) Choose the 3 best possible options in terms of efficiency, cost, weight, time or other parameters.
(4) Choose the best option and implement.

Although that sounds quite technical and less creative than a human mind could come up with original solutions or concepts, essentially, that equates to creativity, or at least the near semblance of creativity by seeing and considering the end result.

Let me give you an example of how we could use IBM’s “Watson” AI supercomputer to do this, using the “Jeopardy” strategy – step by step:

(A) First, have the Supercomputer collect all possible English words in all possible combinations.
(B) Second, ask Watson what each combination means.
(C) Third, have Watson give us a % correctness that it thinks each definition is.
(D) Fourth, discard anything that is less than 50% estimated correction.
(E) Fifth, crowdsourcing ‘all answers’ to be read by humans for potential ‘original concepts’.

By doing this, we will have come up with 100s out of 1000s of new ideas for humanity. Totally creative results, using AI, and we will have done it, almost immediately. Imagine that level of AI capability, imagine the innovative disruption, and understand that no Think Tank or group of humans could compete with that, but with human review of the results, i.e. AI Super Computer + Human Review, we can. Don’t hesitate, be cool.
