The journey to become a virtual assistant is a fun ride. Everyone will face challenges in the first steps, especially if they are not computer experts. Being in this line of business, you need to be up to date with technology because otherwise you’re going to say “how do they do it?” or you’ll say “I think that’s hard”, but the truth is that they are just simple actions that we must learn in order to get along with millennials. So let’s start with two basic things that we think are not important but necessary to become a VA.
1. Facebook: What is your account title used on this site? Is it your real name or a different one that you just made up? Okay let’s start with that when you’re trying to look for a job and you’re using a different name that can’t be easily found on the internet, then your client will think it’s a scam that you’re not real. person. That is why you should correct it and indicate your first and last name and also be careful in all your posts because it will reflect your reputation. Most people nowadays upload everything on social media, like when you go to a party and drink liquor, avoid posting it as far as possible because the customer might think you are an alcoholic and not capable of doing the job. worked. So be careful with that.
2. Email – This type of communication is a bit ignored nowadays due to the availability of Messenger, Skype, Viber and many others, but in the business world this medium is important. They used it to impart information to the consumer or client about the service or product provided by the company. That’s how important it is to them, so what about your email, is it still working or do you still remember the password? Let’s talk about that, now also make your email profile like a pro like stating your full name. You should also be familiar with the use of “cc: CARBON COPY” or “bcc: BACK CARBON COPY” to keep all information secure.

Those are the starting point that we need to improve first because we think it’s okay that we created our social media account under a different name, but in the business world that’s not good. For example, there will be an interested client who wants to hire you, but first they will do a background check if you are visible on the Internet, so you already know what will happen if they search your name on the web. The sad thing that will happen is that you lose the opportunity. I am creating this awareness only for those planning to start a home-based career because I may not be aware of it. Those things I say are the beginning of my journey to become a virtual assistant. We can do it guys!
