Tenerife is one of the most popular destinations for tourists in Europe, and has many attractions; however, one thing it is known for above all others is its wonderful beaches. Once you’ve settled into your Tenerife airport transfers to your accommodation, consider the following beaches to visit during your stay here.

Bollullo

Bollullo is one of the most beautiful beaches of all. Located in the north of the island, one of the best ways to get there is to travel to Puerto de la Cruz and then walk the rest of the way. Alternatively, you can drive here on a small road, but that can be challenging! Once you arrive you will find yourself on a beautiful black sand beach with a small bar. The waves are quite big here, which means that it is particularly popular with surfers.

Another excellent beach to visit after arriving on transfers from Tenerife is La Tejita. This is a great option if you want to get away from the hordes of tourists. It is located in the south of the island, and you will find plenty of space to enjoy yourself. Large and open, at over a mile long and 300 meters wide, you won’t have a hard time finding a place to sit back and relax! There are also plenty of parking spaces available.

The Gavitos

Los Gavitos beach is located in Santa Cruz, and should be visited as soon as possible after arriving on transfers from Tenerife. The beach is located in a small cove that also has beautiful natural black sand. There are plenty of water sports to try, and you certainly won’t have to fight for space. You’ll also find a number of small cafes serving food and drink.

The Little Teresitas

Las Teresitas is not a natural beach, but it is still attractive and the backdrop of the mountains makes it particularly beautiful. It is about a 10-minute drive from Santa Cruz, but you can also take a bus. As well as enjoying the beach itself, you’ll also find a number of kiosks serving snacks and drinks, as well as some good fish restaurants.

The sand

This black sand beach is usually quite crowded, but it is well worth a visit. It has a European Blue Flag and there are many facilities, including a good restaurant, as well as shops and bars nearby. It is located on the west coast of the island and there are some good walks nearby along the beautiful coastline.

relax on the beach

This charming island is a great destination for a vacation, so if you’re looking for a place to lay on the beach all day and soak up the sun, you couldn’t ask for a better place. Keep these beaches in mind and be sure to visit some of them before your transfer back to Tenerife.
