the snowy day

It is Saturday morning with snow. Zane is very happy. He plans to play outside in the snow. First, Zane eats breakfast. His mom makes pancakes. Pancakes are his favorite! After breakfast, Zane puts the dishes in the dishwasher.

Next, Zane needs to clean up his bedroom. His mom says she can’t go outside to play until she puts his toys away. She also makes her bed. Zane loves to play with his toys. He sometimes forgets to keep them. Zane is proud of himself. He now he has a nice and clean bedroom.

Zane is ready to play! Zane picks up his boots and snow pants. He also has a warm coat, a hat and gloves. Zane puts everything on carefully. He doesn’t want to be cold outside.

As Zane walks out, he sees his friend across the street. Levi and Zane love to play together in the snow! The last time they played outside, they built a huge fort. Levi asks Zane what he wants to do today. The two children decide to build a snowman.

Children begin to roll three snowballs. They are ready to stack the snowballs. Oh no! They are too heavy for life. The boys are disappointed. What are they going to do now? Suddenly, Levi has an idea. Zane likes the idea. The boys begin to roll more snow.

Finally, they’re done! Zane and Levi look at their work. There are three snowmen! Each snowman is made of just two snowballs. Each has a large snow globe for the body and a smaller snow globe for the head. What a good idea!

It’s time to go inside. Levi and Zane are sad to stop playing. They make plans for the next day. Tomorrow they will go sledding!
