This is a fun example for people to relate to when talking about the average Network Marketing home business. There are many network marketing businesses out there, and most of them offer amazing compensation plans. The opportunity is very real. People are making money in this industry. There is no doubt about it and the proof is everywhere.

The money made in this industry varies depending on the individual, the business plan, and the actions taken by the individual. There are very specific steps that need to be taken to be successful with any business.

Below is a real life comparison between network marketing and a particular transaction that took place on the stock market. This example is real and is from my experience with Network Marketing and a real stock I bought. What I love about this example is that it’s simple. There is no smoke and mirrors. The numbers are 100% accurate.

In February 2007 I bought the best performing individual stocks I have owned to date.

4 shares were bought. At the end of the year (2007) I had earned 134% of my investment… very good!

Now, at the end of 2008, the same 4 stocks were valued at only a 0.01% gain on the original investment. That was because of the 2009 recession!

At the end of 2009, the actions returned! I got my money back and then someā€¦an exciting 149% return on investment!

Now it is the turn of the Network Marketing Company.

I became a broker with my company in September 2008. The investment was $448.00.

By the end of 2008 I had a 29% return on my investment in 3 months!

At the end of 2009, my network marketing business returned a whopping 3799% return on investment!

Network Marketing Analysis:

Investment Return Percentage = 720%

Stock Market Analysis:

Return on Investment Percentage = 149%

The network marketing ROI is 720% versus 149% invested in a stock.

Part 2 of this series will talk about the differences and advantages of both. It’s another good article that explains the value of owning your own business.

Remember this: you are going to live very well working for others; You’re going to make a fortune working on your own.
