Your kids have played Monopoly for the 50th time and they’ve had enough. They are totally on the game of life and have had it completely with ONE. There are many other fun games out there! You go to the store where you find an AISLE full of games. How do you know what to choose? There are so many options, and frankly, you don’t have time to read them all. Well, let’s take a look at some great games that people just don’t think about. They are great games and have a history of fun moments. Hey, if nothing else, maybe you’ll find one that you or your kids haven’t played!

  • Scattergories is great. This is a game that you can play with a larger number of people and is fun for all ages. You have to try to find as many words as you can in different categories, all starting with the chosen letter, say, “B” for example. The idea is to get as many words as you can that are DIFFERENT from the ones the other players have decided on.
  • Apples to Apples is a hilarious game where you make different comparisons. We invite you to be as creative as you like. They can really turn into some crazy concoctions. Once again this is a great game for all ages. You can always change it if necessary to accommodate younger players. This is a favorite with many families. Almost as much fun as Monopoly (sometimes it is), it’s one you’ll want to have around all the time.
  • Taboo. Oh yeah. This is also an all time favorite. Therefore, he must make his friends guess “brain freeze”, but he cannot use the words “ice cream” or “headache”. How do you come up with creative ways for your friends to guess the phrase? That’s what happens at Taboo. It’s a game where those resourceful individuals have a field day and everyone else is left laughing. This is a great adult game for fathers night too! Oh yeah. I love Taboo!
  • Ants in the Pants is a good game for the youngest. The goal is to get all your colored ants into the dog’s pants! How did this happen? Why, by stuffing them right into his pants, of course! You can hear the laughter now. Little ones love this game and it’s one they can play for a pretty decent amount of time before they get frustrated.
  • Have you played Cranium? The 3-in-1 drop-down game board lets you play for as long as you like. Anyone can become whoever they want: actor, speaker, whatever you can imagine. Using different activities throughout the game, everyone has their time to shine, so there is no “real” winner or “loser”. Everyone has fun with this game.
  • There are lots of ways to have fun on game night. I love riddles. Especially when they are “clean” and can be easily turned into all kinds of games. Hope you have fun!
