Nothing is as unappealing as excess pubic hair on the beach. And when you have that kind of image and wardrobe malfunction, chances are no one wants to get in the water with you because they expect some of that fluff to float to the surface sooner or later. It’s definitely not something to attract the opposite sex with. In fact, it would be much better to stay home.

So thank goodness for waxing your bikini. If you are a newbie to the beach, a bikini wax is the removal of unwanted hair on the upper leg, below the navel and in the bikini area. Otherwise, this is known as the bikini line. There are three basic hair removal styles that can differ depending on the type of salon you visit. They include:

American waxing: This type of waxing involves the removal of exposed hair on the upper thighs and below the navel. This is the most basic type of bikini wax.

French waxing: This type of waxing leaves a sparse strip of hair just above the vulva about two to three fingers wide. Hair may be removed from the perianal area and labia. This type of waxing is known as Playboy wax or G wax. The vertical strip that remains after waxing is what is euphemistically called a runway.

Brazilian waxing – This is the most popular type of waxing. It involves the removal of almost all strands of hair, except for a thin strip on the pubis. It consists of the removal of all hair from the anus, perinum and vulva. It is alternatively known as Brazilian Wax, Full Bikini Wax, Hollywood Wax, or Sphinx. And although women are the most common customers of Brazilian waxes, men are known to have it too. Interestingly, it is not that popular in Brazil.

And with this knowledge in hand, you can go to any beach looking fabulous and fit.
