Are you interested in baby food jar crafts? There are plenty of ideas for upcycling those baby food jars. This would have to be my all-time favorite use for those baby food jars. I have shared this idea with many of my friends and they have also said that it was a great success with their baby. It’s so simple.

  • Just collect all the lids from each jar, whether it’s a baby food jar or the pasta sauce jar lid.
  • Put them in the dishwasher and sterilize them.
  • Then fill a large plastic jar with those lids. I buy my rice in a large plastic jar and this is perfect for collecting lids.

When my baby was less than 7 months old, she loved to hold the lids and bang on them. She found that they rolled and then began to stack them. They were perfect for her little hand grip.

At around 7 months, she started putting them one at a time in the plastic jar.

At around 11 months, he loved tipping over the plastic jar and trying to get all the lids off and then of course putting them back on.

When he was about 14 months old, he started using the lids for cooking.

Now, at 21 months, she’s still playing with baby food jar lids.

We once borrowed a toy from a friend because Jamie loved playing with it at his house. When I asked her if there was a toy Jamie had that she wanted to borrow, she said, “Actually, could she have some of the baby food jar lids?”

The funniest toys are usually free and in our house all the time.
