Honda and other dog-friendly cars

Have you ever wanted a dog-friendly car? Honda just unveiled its latest Element at the New York Auto Show.

This SUV comes with a dog account in the trunk with a built-in water bowl. I think that’s pretty impressive. It is also designed with restraints to keep your dog safe in case he has an accident. Or even if you stop too suddenly because you didn’t see that stop sign until the last second.

This thing may come with a drop down ramp for smaller dogs, older dogs, or dogs that have been injured.

The manufacturers that built this dog-friendly SUV haven’t yet decided how much these extra add-ons will cost, but they shouldn’t be exaggerating.

Other Dog-cars I found doing some research.

According to DogCars.com, for a vehicle to earn high ratings, it must present:

o Seats that fold or are easily removable.

o Plenty of usable cargo space relative to the size of the vehicle.

o Wide and square rear, with the smallest rear slope possible, to make the most of the cargo area.

o Door and window locks, so a dog cannot accidentally open a door or roll down a window.

o Four-wheel drive or four-wheel drive and high ground clearance are preferred, because dog sports enthusiasts find themselves off-road a lot.

Ranked #1 in 2008, The Dodge Grand Caravan.

two: pontiac vibe

3:ford exhaust

4: ford flex

The best green dog car, is the Toyota Highlander Hybrid
