The word “chakra” is an energetic term and means an energy center or vortex. In Polarity we relate the chakras with the elements of Nature
A chakra derives its name from the elemental quality of the energy that emanates from it. With the exception of the crown and third eye chakras, the remaining five chakras have one charge and one polarity. These energies are called Ether (throat chakra), Air (heart chakra), Fire (solar plexus chakra), Water (spleen chakra) and Earth (root chakra). The terrestrial phase of the cycle is the finished product; water is coalescence and construction; fire is the phase of putting into the world; the air is to think and plan and the ether is the space for the other phases to work and must be present. Each phase of energy and its patterns must be fluidly related to each and every other phase, otherwise imbalances and blockages in the flow of energy will occur. Fire and Earth are positive (+) and uplifting, while Air and Water are negative (-) and cleansing.
The elements are also related to mental states, endocrine glands that control hormonal functions, organs, and specific areas of the body. Although the energy body is separated to look at each dimension for the purposes of teaching, learning and understanding, in reality all patterns, currents and pulsations are superimposed on each other at all times and are in constant and dynamic motion rather than a static state. The human being is energy in movement and lives in an ocean of movement. A person is all of that, and all of that creates the energy matrix from which the physical form is created. This matrix of energy with its patterns, currents, pulsations, resonances and influences in the body has been called the “wireless anatomy” of man.
Each of the elements governs specific organ systems and tissue responses. The currents act as a feedback mechanism that governs the intensity and strength of energy in relation to physiological processes. This electromagnetic energy underlies the physical body and moves by pulsation in the form of waves. His paths look like patterns instead of channels. The Polarity Practitioner works to balance energy patterns and fields by helping the body release energy blockages in the energy system. This encourages healing and self-regulation in the psychological and physiological realms. When the blockages remain and intensify, the disease thrives and precipitates. The purpose of Polarity is “health building”.
Knowledge of the elements allows an experienced professional to decide from an assessment which element requires more work to meet the client’s needs. Improving the most unbalanced element will have a ripple effect through all the other elements and will create the biggest change as one affects the whole as they are all interconnected.
