Treachery is one of the seven rune words of armor released with patch 1.11. Each of the seven runic armor words was designed with one of Diablo 2’s seven classes in mind. Betrayal is Runeword armor designed with the Assassin in mind. It is not the cheapest or most expensive runic word, but it is considered the best among the seven, due to the Treachery mods being useful for both casters and melee characters. What mods are these? Let’s look at the stats below and see what makes Treachery the best of all:
Requirements:
3 plug body armor
Runes (in order): Shael + Thul + Lem
The statistics:
Level requirement: 43
5% chance to cast Level 15 Vanish on Hit
25% chance to cast level 15 Poison on hit
+2 to Assassin Skills
+ 45% increased attack speed
+ 20% faster hit recovery
Cold resistance + 30%
50% extra gold from monsters
5% chance to cast Level 15 Vanish on Hit
This is one of the superstar mods on Treachery, useful for any class, any build.
Vanishing is a very useful skill in the Assassin’s Shadow Disciplines skill tree. Offers three benefits: (1) reduces curse duration (2) grants bonuses to all four elemental resistances (3) grants physical resistance. The three perks provided by Fade are very useful for any Diablo 2 player.
A level 15 fade lasts 288 seconds (or a little over 4.5 minutes), will reduce the duration of the curse by 79%, increase all four elemental resistances by 60%, and grant a 15% increase to physical resistance.
25% chance to cast level 15 Poison on hit
This is not as useful as the Fade mod above.
Poison is an assassin ability that deals poison damage. A level 15 poison deals 305-325 poison damage.
