The answer is, of course, very easy!
It’s actually really easy to change anything, think of all the things you’ve already changed this year, from your clothing basics to life’s biggest decisions. People change things all the time and many times they don’t even realize they’re doing it.
For many dieters, they tend to get stuck in one behavior. Then they go and try to use a diet to change things when really all that changes is what you eat and not why you eat. So for me, when I work with 1-2-1 people, it’s about what stops them from changing.
Because deciding to be thin is a very quick decision and in most cases people are very happy to do it, then it becomes a fear of change. So, for example, I was working with someone before last Christmas who wanted to be skinny but had a “what if” problem.
She not only wanted to be skinny but also wanted to go out with her friends, so “What if?” she didn’t go out with them, and then “What if?” she lost weight and people treated her differently, and “What if?” she gained weight again and everyone was talking about her.
So the decision to change is suddenly much cloudier than before and people get stuck.
For me I sincerely believe that nobody wants to be overweight, there may be advantages for them in terms of being invisible, or in my case tougher, but I believe that nobody is broken and that in the end we all want to be happy in life and to be healthy necessary. I always hear the “What if?” from the people.
Turning you into this! You know exactly how to lose weight and stay slim, today we have more food labels and nutritional advice than ever before. You know that the average woman needs about 1,800 to 2,000 calories a day, and the average man needs about 2,300 to 2,500. We all know that we should eat five a day and that too much salt is not good, but that’s not the real problem. It is? The problem is that we have all used and continue to use food as an adhesive plaster for other things in our lives, so until you get rid of the “what if?” and just realize that food doesn’t really help you emotionally, then you won’t change.
But if you decide tonight, like I did four years ago, that you can change by simply deciding to do something different and then smile and laugh because you’re going to be skinny, you’ll be amazed at the results.
The reason I’m sure of this is that at my heaviest I was over 27 stone and I was THE worst dieter in the world and I decided to change and did so therefore I think if a person can reduce their weight and then stop dieting and go do something more fun that everyone can do. I think we spend too much time focusing on the obesity problem instead of looking at thin people and focusing on their success!
