Chrysler 300 is the car that people would hope to one day buy because of its classic retro styling and American appeal. The car is available in five versions together: base, Touring, Limited, 300C and SRT8. But some critics feel that Chrysler still has miles to go before it can be as lovable as Toyota, Honda and other automakers. They feel the car is underpowered on the base and Touring models; a little care would have increased the delivery. Let’s take a look at each trim and the engine model it uses.

Chrysler 300 Base Model: The base model is equipped with a 2.7-liter 24-valve V6 engine, which is a rear-wheel drive car with a four-speed automatic transmission. The engine is capable of handling a comfortable ride well, but fails to boast of power, which is the most important requirement of this generation.

Touring Model: This car model is equipped with a high-output 3.5-liter 24-valve V6 engine that generates 250 horsepower at 6400 rpm. You can choose between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Most of the people would prefer this version of the car because of the engine power and the comfortable ride that it can offer.

Limited Model – This version also shares the same engine level as the Touring version, the only difference between the two is that the limited edition car has 18-inch chromed aluminum wheels and additionally an independent touring suspension on all four wheels.

Model 300C: This would be the most popular version of the Chrysler 300 due to its style, power and performance. The vehicle is equipped with a 5.7-liter HEMI® multi-displacement engine that generates 340 horsepower at 5,000 rpm. You can choose between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Such a motor would make your ride really shine on the road.

SRT8 Model – This model boasts of being a powerful car that can compete with the best cars made in this segment and this engine has really given the automaker a boost to climb the ladder of success. The car is powered by a 6.1-liter SRT HEMI® SMPI V8 engine. This engine makes you feel bolder and bigger than Dodge trucks. 425 horsepower at 6,000 rpm starts a highway driving melee with the Chrysler 300 SRT8 model.
